The 2024 Sierra 3500 HD is available in seven trim levels, including the Pro, which announces its arrival with a bar-style grille flanked by LED headlights and daytime running lights. You'll also enjoy a truck bed featuring class-leading cargo volume. If you go with the SLE, you get GMC's MultiPro tailgate, offering multiple configurations for easy cargo loading and an extra workspace. This feature also appears on the SLT, while the AT4 adds 20-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels and skid plates. The Denali's 20-inch wheels have an Ultra Bright machined finish and Bright Chrome inserts. On the AT4X, you'll find 35-inch Territory MT tires from Goodyear, and on the Denali Ultimate, you'll notice a signature grille featuring a Vader Chrome finish.
Engine (Power)
No matter what Sierra 3500 HD trim you choose, you get a 6.6-liter V-8 gas engine that generates 401 horsepower and 364 pound-feet of torque. If you prefer a diesel-powered pickup truck, GMC offers a 6.6-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel V-8 with an output of 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. When properly equipped, the Denali can tow up to 30,800 pounds or carry a 6,007-pound payload.
Performance
Both engines in the 2024 Sierra 3500 HD lineup pair with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission that features a Tow/Haul mode for greater control when transporting heavy cargo and auto-grade braking for better stability when traveling downhill. A four-wheel-drive system comes standard in lower trims, while upper trims feature an Autotrac two-speed transfer case that enables the Sierra 3500 HD to switch from four-wheel drive to two-wheel drive when driving conditions are stable. You can also equip your Sierra 3500 HD with an off-road suspension that makes your ride smoother and more comfortable, even when driving on rugged terrain.
Interior
The 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 HD can seat six, with the Pro offering wireless integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
